The gift card of the Dubai Mall Emaar, the world’s largest mall, was also the business’ number one complaint. Chayya’s first initiative was a partnership with Mastercard and Noor Bank to create an open loop card; reducing complaints and increasing uptake by 189 percent in year one. The card has since become the leading incentive of choice for large banks and corporate companies in the emirate with over 50 percent of its load value coming from this segment. Needless to say, the product no longer features on the list of top 10 complaints for the mall.
